Main Storage
When you tap this, you get access to the Main Storage files. You can navigate among them one by one and folder by folder on Cx File Explorer.
If you want to change the view mode, the options are available at the top as small icons. You have options of viewing as icons, lists, details, large icons, and extra large icons.
Next, you get the Cx File Explorer menu button with the three dots. By tapping on it, the options of New File, New Folder, Refresh, and Search pop up.
In the option called “More”, you get the ability to compress files and folders. You can name the new files before you compress them and give the location you want them to be.
Downloads
This is your new Android Downloads folder. All the files that you download from the internet will straight away come here. Though you give a different location, you can still find it from here. Not only via the internet, even if you got it from Bluetooth, this will be the default location. Things that you copy from another location will also be here unless you move them away.
Apps
This icon on Cx File Explorer leads you to a tab with 2 sub-divisions. One is named “Downloaded” and the other is named “All”.
Under the Downloaded tap, you get all the apps that you newly downloaded to your device. On the other tab, you can find all the apps available on your device without any categorization. Usually, this will be in alphabetical order. But you can make it to an ascending time order as well. Each app will display the storage capacity that it occupies. If you find any idling apps, that are not system apps, this is your chance to get rid of them.
Recycle Bin
This is a temporary storage of your deleted files on Cx File Explorer. So, when you delete a file or an app, you can find them from here if you think you might need it again.

You also can permanently erase files by permanently deleting them from the Bin too.
Libraries
Cx File Explorer contains Libraries, just like in Windows. So here you get the Image library, Video Library, Music Library, Documents library, and New Files library.
Irrespective of the location, you can access your media files and documents through these libraries.
The Cx File Explorer search bar is available for you to search for what you are looking for. If there are too many results, then you can narrow down the results by giving location filters.
So to activate functions in these libraries, you can follow the same methods you used with your Main Storage tab.
Network
The Cx File Explorer Network tab is present to allow you to get connected with other devices. These connections can be wireless. So there are 2 allowed connections and they are “Cloud” and “Remote”.
Following are the cloud platforms supported by Cx File Explorer to get connected with:
- Google Drive
- Box
- One Drive
- Dropbox
By connecting to these you can share files to the cloud.
If you want to connect to a remote device, however, you should pick the other tab. The supported networks for remote devices are:
- SMB
- SFTB
- Local Network
- FTP
- WebDAV
By connecting and giving the correct IP address of the device you need to connect with, a wireless connection between your device and this remote device is created.
You can transfer files from your device to another and vice versa this way.
